Art in a Garden is all about providing the visitor with an unique experience of seeing sculpture displayed in a suberb garden gallery, appreciating wonderful vistas, which will include the exciting works of very creative people. The Gallery is an old 1890 barn in which the paintings, pottery, glass & jewellery take on a new meaning

Hawarden is just an hours drive from Christchurch, through the wonderfully successful vineyard area of Waipara. The Weka Pass with its easily recognizable limestone formations en route, and finally an intermountain valley and plain surrounded by the Southern Alps. It is on terraced riverbed country that Flaxmere is farmed, and over 40 years, Penny has created a 7 acre Garden of National Significance. It will be here that 50 - 60 artists and sculptors, Potters, glass artists, and jeweller will exhibit. Witness New Zealand's most talented artists and sculptors present their exciting works.
